Cliff Ravenscraft started podcasting as a hobby in 2005. Two years later, he left a successful career as an insurance agent to build a thriving online business around his passion for podcasting. Cliff Ravenscraft – Business Mentor, Strategist, and Podcasting Pioneer

Cliff Ravenscraft started podcasting as a hobby in 2005 and it changed his life forever.

In January 2008, he embarked on a life-altering journey, walking away from a lucrative career as an independent insurance agent in his family’s agency, founded by his grandfather in 1937.

Though he was next in line to take over the business from his father, Cliff chose a different direction. He transformed what began as a two-year hobby into an online business built around the content he had been creating. With round-the-clock work, a modest $11,000 in personal net income, and a health scare that landed him in the hospital, the experience was grueling. Over the following decade, Cliff built a thriving online business and became recognized as the world’s leading authority on podcasting. Through his coaching, courses, and live events, he personally helped more than 40,000 people launch successful podcasts.

As his business grew, Cliff generated millions of dollars through online courses, physical products, live events, mastermind groups, keynote speaking, and one-on-one coaching. But as more podcasters and creators began asking, “Cliff, how did you achieve this? I’m struggling to build a business around my podcast,” he began to notice a common pattern.

Many aspiring entrepreneurs assumed that launching a podcast was the best first step toward building a profitable business. In reality, they often skipped the foundational principles needed before creating content and cultivating an audience.
